The essence of beautiful art is gratitude.

Mine is, I hope, beautiful art doing beautiful things in, at times, a painful world. Whenever I come across pain, I lean into it and see the light and beauty in the distance.

If you keep on photographing anger, violence and ugliness, you might end up not questioning it, but adding to it. I have decided to be on the side of beauty and wonder.

My philosophy is to not to be too clever.

Instead, I simply photograph what I feel about the natural world.

Art in nature creates itself. I’m just aspiring to be nature’s emissary.
